Saying Goodbye

As a small group activity, my kids each make a page for our class book (page on the right, below).  We use big washable stamp pads from Lakeshore, and the kids make a handprint in the hand outline.  They then dictate to me who brought them to school, and how they felt.  I take pictures of the children with our digital camera, and put a heart shaped picture of the child in the middle of the handprint on their page.  I then laminate the pages, put on the cover (page on the left, below), and bind the book.
