My kids loved the book Hi, Pizza Man!, and it naturally led to a class book.  In each page of the book, I copied the repeated pattern from the book: "What if it's a pizza _____?" asked ______.  _______, ________ pizza ______! The children dictated to me what animal (or object, I had a pizza tractor!) they wanted to come to the door, and then illustrated their page.

We made the book in the shape of a circle, and created a construction paper pizza for the cover.  This made a very attractive book, as well as a popular one.  The pattern made it easy for the kids to "read".
