Giving Tree

There are lots of ways to help in my classroom.  I LOVE having parents help!  Here are just a few ways you can contribute:

  1. Volunteer during reading group time (8:45-9:30).  My daily parent helper works with a small group helping them sound out and write words in a predictable text book.
  2. Volunteer during Workshops (Intervention) time (2:30-3:00).  My daily parent helper works with a small group working on literacy or math skills.  That usually means playing a game (Letter or Number Bingo, Dice games, etc.).
  3. Come along on a field trip!  We have several field trips during the year.  Let me know if you want to come along!
  4. Come and help at a party!  You can volunteer to bring treats or table wear for a party, or you can come and help out during the party.  Being a parent helper during a party means you will stay at one table doing a game or craft project, while the children rotate through all stations (you will make that candycane necklace 5 times!).  It's a lot of fun, and I promise to not make you do anything too difficult.
